Don't look for similarities when you go into a relationship. Having something in common is temporary, even though you don't have the same interest as long as you are willing to adapt on your partner's interest then you're good. Differences is what makes relationship interesting. What's important is you have mutual respect for each others work and interests eventually as you grow old together you will learn to do things together and share life in the same manner.
